Remarks from Father Achilles
Hello,
I would like to share with you some good memories about Fr. Joe.
In the first place I would like to thank God for the gift of Fr. Joe to the Ministry of the Catholic Church. Really Fr. Joe did his best in the years God granted him to serve His faithful. Surely Fr. Joe knew and recognized to whom he had dedicated his life and worked hard to help them know and recognize the same.
Personally I really enjoyed the company of Fr. Joe. He really knew how to adjust to the different situations he found himself in. I am an African Catholic Priest from Uganda but Fr. Joe related with with me so closely in the ministry at St. John's and together we helped Fr. Armando. Actually the way Fr. Joe respected and loved Fr. Armando helped me also to strengthen my relationship with my superiors in the ministry. I thank Fr. Joe for his love and trust. Whenever I celebrated Mass with him he requested me to read the gospel. I thank him for that.
During my visits to St. John's Fr. Joe cared for me. He used to take me out for breakfast and dinner. He would invite me to his house just to be with him and talk about our vocation to the Priesthood and ministry. Fr. Armando and I used o be with Fr. Joe in the Rectory on Christmas for dinner. It was really great to celebrate Christmas with Fr. Joe. True Fr. Armando and I prepare delicious meals and we shall miss Fr. Joe at our Christmas dinners.
Fr. Armando, you really did great to have Fr. Joe share in you ministry at St. John's. I know from your words that Fr. Joe was close to you during your seminary life. Fr. Armando thank you for taking Fr. Joe as a parent in your preparation for Priesthood. Thank you for remembering all the good he did for you. Thank you for observing the Fourth Commandment if I can say. May God bless you Fr. Armando.
I would like to thank the Parishioners of St. John's for welcoming Fr. Joe and accepting to work with him in the ministry at St. John's. All the good from his homilies and easy talk please keep it and live by it. Please pray for Fr. Joe that God may welcome him into His heavenly kingdom.
Dear Fr. Armando, let us cherish the good that we learned from Fr. Joe's ministry. His absence will always be mourned but let our zeal for the ministry carry us through. I am ready to be available to the success of the ministry at St. John's and please know that I am praying for this.
May the soul of Fr. Joe rest in eternal peace.
