NOW, all Faith Formation classes have begun:  elementary, middle school, high school, RCIA/RCIC, and sacramental preparation:  Registrations are still being accepted - contact Bobbi at 360.573.3325, ext. 206 or saclife@stjohnvancouver.org.  (High School and Confirmation classes have been on-going during the summer, but registrations are still being accepted!)

Now through Sunday, November 4th, 40 Days for Life:  Silent witness for the Right to Life across the street from Planned Parenthood at NE 116th Avenue, occurring Monday through Friday.  Opening rally is Saturday, September 22nd from 2-3pm.  To sign up, contact Ed at 360.576.1724 or redward1724@msn.com.

Saturday, September 29th, Friends of the Poor Walk:  An annual fundraiser for St. Vincent de Paul.  To join Team St. John, contact Tim at 360.573.7199.

Thursday, October 4th, Blessing of the Animals:  Join us with your favorite furry friend (or feathered or scaly as the case may be!) on the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi when Fr. Tom will bless creatures of all shapes and sizes.  We will gather outside the main church entrance at 4pm.

Saturday, October 6th, Welcome Dinner:  All new parish households, registered after September, 2017, are invited to this potluck dinner, after the 5pm Mass.  There is a sign-up sheet at the Welcome Desk.  Please bring a side dish to complement the main entree, ham.  Dessert will also be provided by the parish.

Sunday, October 14th, Bible Bingo:  SAVE THE DATE!  We are excited to announce the same folks responsible for the hilarious "Late Night Catechism" will be bringing "Bible Bingo" to St. John for a late afternoon performance.  This is not to be missed!  Tickets are now available in the parish office, or after Masses October 14th, or at the door:  $20 for adults, $10 for youth ages 14 years and under. 

Beginning October 18/19th, Untold Blessings:  A three-week Bishop Barron series.  Sessions will be offered twice a week beginning October 18/19 - Thursday mornings at 9:45am or Friday evenings at 6:30pm.  Sessions last approximately 1 hour and there is no cost to participants.  To register or for more information contact Barb at bwelmoo@gmail.com or 360.984.9967.

Sunday, November 4th, 150th Anniversary Mass and Dinner:  Join Most Rev. J. Peter Sartain, D.D., S.T.L., Archbishop of Seattle, Father Tom Belleque, pastor, and parishioners as we celebrate with prayer and thanksgiving the many blessings bestowed upon our faith community over the past 150 years!  Following the special Sunday Mass at 3pm, we will continue the celebration at the Heathman Lodge with an equally special dinner and program.  Tickets go on sale after Masses September 22/23.

Friday, November 9th, Concert to Benefit WHO:  Returning after a year hiatus, this evening of song by volunteers of the St. John choirs will financially help the Council for the Homeless as it coordinates another season of offering a warm shelter during the coldest months.  More details coming soon.

Saturday, November 10th, Holiday Bazaar:  This annual fundraiser will be held in Vogel Hall.  For more information, call Judi at 360.666.6025.
