Thursday, September 27th, Funeral Planning Workshop:  SAVE THE DATE!  Recognizing that the goal of our lives is eternal life with God, preparation for death is an essential part of life for a Christian. The need exists for advance planning of burial and funeral rites.  Death marks the end of our stewardship on earth and the beginning of eternal life. Talking about death is never easy, but discussion and pre‑planning can eliminate stress and confusion and assist your grieving family and friends.  We invite you to attend this workshop that will provide you with important information as you consider pre-planning decisions. Consider this: There are at least 50 decisions that need to be made at the time of a death. Some of these decisions cannot be made in advance. But funeral and burial arrangements can be made in advance. By doing so, you alleviate the burden on your survivors at a very stressful time.  It is a great gift that you give your family by making these decisions well in advance.  Watch for upcoming bulletin notices, email blasts and website updates:  two workshops will be available this day.

Sunday, October 14th, Bible Bingo:  SAVE THE DATE!  We are excited to announce the same folks responsible for the hilarious "Late Night Catechism" will be bringing "Bible Bingo" to St. John for a late afternoon performance.  This is not to be missed!  Watch the website and future bulletins for more information

Sunday, November 4th, 150th Anniversary Mass and Dinner:  Join Most Rev. J. Peter Sartain, D.D., S.T.L., Archbishop of Seattle, Father Tom Belleque, pastor, and parishioners as we celebrate with prayer and thanksgiving the many blessings bestowed upon our faith community over the past 150 years!  Following the special Sunday Mass at 3pm, we will continue the celebration at the Heathman Lodge with an equally special dinner and program.  Times and details for dinner tickets pending.
